Car insurance discounts and savings
There are plenty of ways you can save on your car insurance from Square One. Any discounts or savings for which you’re qualified will automatically be applied to your quote or policy. Below, learn about all the ways you can start saving on your car insurance today.
Anti-theft device
You can get a range of discounts for approved anti-theft devices, such as aftermarket GPS trackers, alarm systems, engine immobilizers, or VIN etching. If you want the best discount, consider purchasing a Tag tracking system.
Multi-vehicle
If you use Square One to insure multiple vehicles owned or leased by members of the same family at the same address, you’ll save 10% on your premiums for most coverages.
Driver training
If you have completed a recognized certified driver training course with a government-accredited driving school in Ontario within the last 3 years, you’re eligible for a credit that will reduce your premium.
Retiree
If you’re 65 or older and retired, you’ll get a 5% discount on your premiums. Seniors and retirees often have fewer claims compared to other demographics.
New driver
New drivers will receive a 10% discount once they attain their full driver’s license (a G license in Ontario) and have no at-fault accidents or chargeable convictions.
Winter tires
If you keep winter tires on your car from December 1 to March 31, you’ll save 3% on your premiums. Winter tires include those with the M+S or three-peak mountain snowflakes symbols.
Multi-line
If you have both car insurance and home insurance (also known as bundling) for your primary residence from Square One, you’ll get up to a 5% discount on your car insurance.
How are discounts and savings applied to my policy?
Your discounts and savings are automatically applied during the quoting process. They are reflected in your premium when you buy and at the time of renewal. Please note that some discounts do not apply to every coverage on the policy. Accordingly, there may be a difference between the percentage noted above and the actual amount discounted from your total premium.
