• Salary: $80,237-$103,161 per year.
• 4-weeks, not 2-weeks, of vacation to start and an additional week after only 3 years.

• Participation in the corporate profit-sharing plan.

Your responsibilities

As a member of Square One’s management team, your primary responsibilities include:

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date general ledger in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles.
• Manage day-to-day accounting and banking operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payment processing.
• Administer payroll and benefits:
• maintaining payroll register and records;
• processing payroll;
• coordinating overtime and part-time tracking; and,
• processing monthly remittances and year-end tax forms.
• Manage the timely close of month-end processes, including accruals, and bank account and credit card reconciliations.
• Develop, implement, and ensure compliance with the company’s accounting policies and procedures.
• Work with external auditors on annual reviews and tax filings.
• Ensure compliance with Federal and Provincial tax and other regulatory requirements related to the company’s finances.

Your education + experience

Your experience and education ensure your success at Square One. For this role, you have:

• A CPA Designation Recognized in Canada.
• Five years of experience in corporate accounting, payroll, and financial management.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and applications.
