Your responsibilities

• Liaise with business groups to capture requirement change requests, identify business/technical impacts, perform gap analysis, and ultimately create detailed business and functional requirements for desired system enhancements.
• Lead design sessions in prototyping new systems for the purpose of enhancing business processes, operations, and information process flow.
• Work closely with the quality assurance team to ensure that test plans are complete and accurate.
• Create and maintain system documentation.

Your qualifications

Must haves:

• Completion of a diploma or degree in a technical or business field with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a business systems analyst role or other relevant field;
• Ability to organize and document system requirements;
• Strong technical aptitude and understanding of practical uses of technology to solve business problems;
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and facilitation skills and ability to grasp abstract concepts;
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail;
• Projects a mature, professional and optimistic attitude;
• Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment with moderate supervision;
• Strong time management and organizational skills with demonstrated ability to set and commit to multiple deadlines;
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business needs;
• Good understanding of quality assurance and testing methodologies;

Nice to haves:

• Knowledge of user experience best practices, and experience designing user interfaces utilizing wire-framing, and prototyping.
• Good working knowledge of SQL with the ability to build queries and analyze raw data;
• Experience within the Insurance industry (ideally with home & auto insurance), or within a similar fintech/startup environment.
